Workshop on Fire Risk Management in Greece: FirEUrisk Horizon Europe Project

A workshop was held on March 5th, 2024 at the City Hall of Rafina-Pikermi in Greece as part of the FirEUrisk Horizon Europe project. The workshop was attended by representatives from the municipality, fire department headquarters, relevant stakeholders, and project partners, including NCSR “Demokritos”, AUTH, SGIC, and SC.

Dr. Nadia Politi represented NCSR “Demokritos” and presented part of the results on fire weather risk calculations due to climate change in the project demonstration area of the Attica region. She also participated in a productive session, led by ISIG partners, on involving citizens and the municipality authority in wildlife risk reduction activities. The workshop was part of the preparation for the final demonstration event of the Greek Site Pilot in June 2024.
