New Publication: Atmospheric preconditions investigation of wet-cold compound events in Greece between 1980 and 2004

We are thrilled to announce that our PhD candidate Iasonas Markantonis has published a new paper in with Springer-Verlag GmbH Austria. His work, titled “Atmospheric preconditions investigation of wet-cold compound events in Greece between 1980 and 2004” delves into the complex meteorological phenomena recorded by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) between 1980 and 2004.

The study employs two innovative methods to provide insights into the origins and atmospheric circulation patterns leading to the occurrence of these events. This research could significantly enhance our understanding of WCCEs and their broader climatic impacts.
