Participation in COMECAP 2023 Conference

We are delighted to announce that our lab has participated in the 16th International Conference on Meteorology, Climatology and Atmospheric Physics (COMECAP 2023), which took place at the University of West Attica in Athens, Greece, from September 25 to 29, 2023.

Our lab’s contribution to COMECAP 2023 took the form of two enlightening poster presentations titled “Investigation of Climate Change Impacts on the Building Materials of Archaeological Monuments” (published in the prestigious MDPI journal) and “Fire weather assessment of future changes in fire weather conditions in the Attica region”.

This work was partially supported by the research project “Herisktage–Recording and monitoring systems of the effect of climate change on microenvironment”, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility – Greek National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0, under the action: Protection of Cultural Monuments and Archaeological Sites from Climate Change (Action ID 16433), and financed by the European Union.
