How can innovative actions create climate resilience in Sitia? | Regions4Climate

Thanasis Sfetsos, from the National Center for Scientific Research Demokritos in Greece, joined the Regions4Climate kick-off meeting in Helsinki to begin his role coordinating the implementation of innovative actions taking place across the project’s 12 regions.

He also explains the particular solutions that will be implemented to address the complex climate challenges in the demo region of Sitia, Crete.

About Regions4Climate: The project aims to collaboratively develop and demonstrate a socially-just transition to climate resilience. Based on cross-sectoral roadmaps developed together with regional stakeholders, the project will create and implement innovations combining sociocultural, technological, digital, business, governance, and environmental solutions to reduce the vulnerability of European regions to the impacts of climate change.
