I am working as a Post doctoral Researcher at the Environmental Research Laboratory (EREL) of the National Center for Scientific Research (NCSRD) “Demokritos”, in National and EU projects.
My work focuses primarily on the modeling physical processes using deterministic, stochastic and data driven techniques. There are two areas of interest:
- Using molecular simulations (Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo) and Machine Learning algorithms, in various nano-composite systems, such as Metal-Organic Frameworks, lipid bilayers and membranes.
- Improving predictions of models and performing risk assessment in critical infrastructures of seasonal (10 days to 3 months) and climate simulations using Deep Learning and Big Data Analytics
Moreover, I have been working as scientific computing consultant at EREL and School of Pedagogy and Technology Education (ASPETE) with main responsibilities the selection, installation and administration of the hardware and software of High Performance Computer (HPC) infrastructures.
